A large, oversubscribed comprehensive school in West Berkshire is seeking a Food Technology Teacher for a September 2025 start. You will join an enthusiastic and well-organised Technology department, teaching students how to cook with confidence and understand food’s role in health, culture, and sustainability.
This role is ideal for a teacher passionate about food education who can inspire learners in both theory and practical contexts.
Main Duties Include:

Teaching Food Tech at KS3 and KS4 levels
*
Preparing students for practical exams and NEA projects
*
Keeping up-to-date with current food safety and nutritional guidance
*
Organising enrichment activities including cooking clubs and local food events
*
Promoting healthy eating and sustainability through food choices
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or related subject
*
QTS or equivalent with strong classroom practice
*
Confidence in managing practical lessons and food safety standards
*
A passion for inclusive, hands-on teaching
