What you'll be doing
* Develop, test, and maintain Python code for a variety of applications
* Analyse, troubleshoot, and solve complex programming problems
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data science, product, commercial) to deliver new features
* Write clear, concise, and well-documented code that adheres to industry best practices
* Take ownership of technical decisions, contributing to architecture and design choices
* Help establish strong engineering standards and processes as we scale
Requirements
* Strong understanding of Python fundamentals and object-oriented programming
* Knowledge of relational databases (Postgres), Django, DRF, and FastAPI
* Solid understanding of REST API design
* Experience working with containerised applications (e.g. Docker) in a Linux-based environment
* Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git)
* Knowledge of testing frameworks and a structured approach to debugging/refactoring
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
* BSc degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a relevant field (or equivalent experience)
Bonus skills
* Knowledge of a relevant frontend framework or library (we use )
* Experience with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
* JavaScript / TypeScript experience
