Job Title: Electrical Bias Shift Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting an Electrical Bias Engineer to join the team located in London.
The successful candidate will be able to install and maintain new plant and equipment when required, ensuring that plant faults and defects are swiftly rectified.
The shift pattern is between Monday and Thursday on 10-hour shifts alternating between days and nights.
Role Summary:
1. React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLA’s.
2. Technical awareness of computer room/call centre/trader operations and experience of power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling etc.
3. Able to apply a risk-focused maintenance approach and operate plant and systems in data centres/critical environments.
4. Provide emergency response standby, call out.
5. Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager.
6. Respond to work interruptions, outages or emergencies as per SLA.
7. Ensure all critical engineering maintenance documentation & records are kept updated.
8. Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works.
9. Understand and interpret technical drawings, instructions, processes & O&M’s.
10. Ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk Requests.
11. Review and submit to the Technical Services Manager, ensuring all actions are documented, reviewed, and completed.
12. Enter relevant quotes and remedial works into the in-house system.
Experience Required:
1. 17th/18th Edition Qualified.
2. Experience of working in Facilities Management desirable.
3. Recent experience in a similar role.
4. Understanding of a CDM process.
5. Excellent facilitation and communication skills at all levels.
6. Evidence of excellent customer service delivery.
7. Ability to organise and manage tasks, determine material requirements.
8. Experience with H&S procedures & requirements such as COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments.
9. Health & Safety Qualified, e.g., IOSH and/or NEBOSH.
10. Experience in testing and inspecting electrical systems.
11. Knowledge of emergency response, standby, call-out activities, and protocols.
12. Understanding of monitoring utilities and environmental programmes.
