Position
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Specialist Physiotherapist based within Learning Disabilities Physiotherapy at Ayrshire Central Hospital.
What you will do:
You will work within the North community learning disabilities physiotherapy team based at Ayrshire Central Hospital. You will hold a community caseload and may be required to work in other parts of Ayrshire. You will provide support to the Physiotherapy Team Lead in managing and delivering an efficient, equitable and responsive Physiotherapy service.
This role will provide valuable experience working with people with learning disabilities including exposure to hydrotherapy, postural management and much more. Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:
You must:
1. Have varied experience as a Physiotherapist at minimum rotational B5 level.
2. Have experience working in learning disabilities, with people with learning disabilities or in relevant specialisms with identified transferable skills.
3. Be able to demonstrate why working in learning disabilities is of interest to you.
4. Have a good level of physical fitness and water confidence to run rebound and hydrotherapy sessions.
5. Participate in the respiratory on-call rota covering acute hospital sites.
