Job Overview
Work within a Regional Hearing Centre (RHC) to support the effective administration of Tribunals business on a national scale. The Legal Officer will undertake complex case work and assessment activity to advance caseloads and remove barriers to timely case progression.
Responsibilities
* Support the effective administration of Tribunals business on a national scale.
* Undertake a range of complex case work and assessment activity to advance caseloads.
* Make informed decisions on how best to process appeals, allowing better access to justice.
* Liaise with key stakeholders and HMCTS colleagues to ensure timely case progression.
* Work independently with the support of a wider team under the supervision of a Senior Legal Officer and leadership judiciary.
Qualifications
* Law degree or equivalent technical experience.
* Strong decision‑making and impartiality skills.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Basic DBS clearance required.
