About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other staff to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), ensuring that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential in a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment. This role may also involve administering personal care as required, so a respectful and professional approach to all aspects of pupil support is essential. Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of SEN, both in and out of the classroom. * Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans (IEPs/IBPs). * Support teaching staff in preparing and adapting learning materials and activities to meet pupils’ needs. * Encourage positive learning behaviours and help pupils develop social and emotional skills. * Supervise and assist with personal care needs, including toileting, feeding, and mobility support, where necessary. * Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and external professionals to ensure effective support for each child. Requirements: * Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is essential. * Understanding of a range of SEN including autism, ADHD, and learning or physical disabilities. * A caring, patient, and empathetic nature with a genuine passion for supporting children. * Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow direction from teaching staff. * Good communication skills and a proactive approach to supporting learning. * Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEND training) are desirable but not essential.
