Dietitian
Glasgow, Hybrid
Salary : £28,482 to £32,000
Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days over 7
Weight management is one of the most complex and personal journeys a patient can go through. At Simple Online Healthcare, we take that seriously. We have a growing multidisciplinary clinical team including GPs, nurse prescribers, pharmacists and dietitians, and were looking for an experienced, HCPC-registered Dietitian to join us.
This is a patient facing, operational role. The majority of your time will be spent speaking directly with patients through telephone and video consultations, supporting them through their weight management journey with expert dietetic advice, thorough clinical assessment and genuine care.
What youll be doing
Youll conduct telephone and video consultations as the core of your day, completing dietetic assessments, answering patient questions and helping people feel informed, confident and supported. Youll provide tailored advice based on each patients medical history, lifestyle, dietary habits and treatment pathway, balancing high-quality care with the pace of a busy operational environment.
Weight management and obesity support will be central to the role. Youll help patients set realistic goals, understand how nutrition and behaviour change work alongside their treatment, and support those who are struggling with appetite changes, side effects or motivation along the way.
You will need a strong working knowledge of GLP-1 medications. Patients will come to you with questions about how their treatment works, what to expect and how to manage their nutrition alongside it. Youll provide clear, clinically appropriate information and escate concerns to prescribers or pharmacists where needed.
Eating disorder and clinical risk assessment is an essential part of the role. Youll assess patients safely, identify concerns around unsafe behaviours or psychological wellbeing, and use your professional judgement to ensure the right level of support or escalation is in place. Accurate documentation and clear record‑keeping are expected throughout.
Beyond your own caseload, youll collaborate with clinical, pharmacy and operational colleagues to ensure patients receive joined‑up care, and contribute to improving patient education materials, pathways and clinical processes over time.
Working pattern
Working pattern: The current rota includes 1 Saturday every 4 weeks.
What were looking for
Youll hold a recognised degree in Dietetics and be HCPC registered. That registration is essential for this role.
Practically, you need solid patient-facing dietetic experience, strong knowledge of GLP-1 medications and weight management treatments, and proven experience conducting eating disorder and clinical risk assessments. Experience delivering telephone or video consultations is highly desirable, and a background in weight management, obesity care or digital healthcare would be an advantage.
You are confident speaking with patients for a large part of the working day, comfortable with a high volume of patient contact, and bring a patient‑safety‑first mindset to everything you do. You can explain clinical and nutritional information clearly and compassionately, manage a busy workload without losing attention to detail, and youre at ease working in a fast‑paced digital environment.
Please note that we are unable to offer sponsorship for this position. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.
