Career Information, Advice and Guidance Advisor (IAG)\n\nLocation: West Yorkshire\n Salary: £28,000 Basic Salary + Benefits\n Contract: Full-time, permanent\n\nAbout the Role\n\nOur clients is a leading adult education provider is looking for a motivated and empathetic IAG Advisor to provide impartial, high-quality information, advice, and guidance to prospective and current adult learners.\n\nYou will help individuals make informed decisions about their education, training, and career pathways, ensuring they are matched to the right course with the right support in place.\n\nThis is a people-focused role where you will engage with learners, referral agencies, and community partners to promote courses, meet recruitment targets, and support learners from first contact through to completion.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nEngage and Recruit: Work with job centres, employers, and community organisations to identify and recruit adult learners.\nAssess and Place: Conduct eligibility checks, initial assessments, and match learners to the most suitable courses.\nAdvise and Support: Provide impartial IAG to learners and their support networks, addressing welfare needs and career goals.\nPromote and Achieve Targets: Actively promote courses to meet monthly recruitment and enrolment targets.\nMaintain Compliance: Keep accurate records in line with funding requirements, safeguarding, and data protection protocols.\nCollaborate: Work with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding process and ongoing learner success.\nBased from our clients Leeds city centre office with training centres across Yorkshire and the North East\nAbout You\n\nExperience in IAG, employability, careers advice, or community engagement.\nExcellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail for compliance and reporting.\nPassion for adult learning, equality, diversity, and inclusion.\nAbility to work towards recruitment targets while keeping learner needs central.\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n£28,000 Basic Salary\n20 days holiday + Statutory days & company pension scheme\nBe part of a values-driven organisation making a real difference.\nOngoing professional development and training opportunities.\nSupportive, collaborative working environment.\nOpportunity to work with diverse communities across West Yorkshire.\nCareer Information, Advice and Guidance Advisor (IAG)
