We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Application Engineer to join our team and support the delivery of high‑quality lift modernisation and installation projects. In this role, you will carry out on‑site feasibility surveys and develop engineering solutions that meet industry standards and customer requirements. You will work closely with our sales, engineering, and operational teams, providing technical expertise, project coordination, and design support throughout the full order cycle.
Using SolidWorks or similar 2D/3D design software, you will create detailed models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings while contributing to the development of our product libraries. You will also manage individual project orders, ensure compliance with internal processes and ISO standards, and assist with purchasing and cost analysis of materials.
This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to collaborate across teams, and the confidence to work independently when needed. We are seeking someone reliable, organised, and eager to grow within an international company. Previous experience in lift installation or modernisation, alongside a relevant engineering or design qualification, is essential.
* Carry out on site feasibility and design surveys specific to the Lift industry on Lift shafts and motor rooms.
* Provide high level engineering solutions compliant with relevant industry standards.
* Assist sales team technical validation and support.
* Manage individual project orders in accordance with internal KPIs and ISO procedures.
* To become conversant and competent with the current IT platforms including the CRM and ERP systems.
* Liaise with internal/external teams with all project related tasks including customer meetings.
* Assist with purchasing and cost analysis of all project materials and fabrication.
* You will work within the companies procedures at all times.
* Utilise Solidworks 3D Design software or similar 2D/3D software to carry out order specific design tasks;
* Design of industry specific product solutions
* Build 3D model libraries of parts and assemblies
* Produce 2D fabrication / customer approval / assembly drawings / General arrangements

* Having excellent IT skills with focus on Microsoft Office applications.

* Minimum Degree qualification or equivalent in a design/engineering discipline.
* Knowledge of Solidworks 3D/2D or CAD software is essential, full training will be provided.
* Willing to travel throughout the UK if and when required.
* Full UK driving licence is preferred.
