ScotSTAR West Base at Glasgow Airport
Applications are invited for the post of clinical fellow (0.5 1WTE) with ScotSTAR Paediatric Retrieval Service operated by Scottish Ambulance Service (SAS). This is a fixed‑term 6‑month position from August 2026 to February 2027, banded 1A per Trainee PayScale for medical trainees.
Eligibility
* Specialty trainees or recent trainees in paediatric intensive care medicine, paediatric anaesthesia, adult intensive care and/or anaesthesia (with regular pediatric exposure), or paediatric emergency medicine (with regular exposure to paediatric intensive care medicine).
Service Overview
ScotSTAR provides a secondary critical‑care transfer service for paediatric patients (<16 years) across Scotland. Retrievals are mainly road by paediatric intensive care road ambulance; about 25% are by air on SAS rotary or fixed‑wing aircraft and Coastguard Search and Rescue helicopter.

The post is based at ScotSTAR West base, Glasgow Airport.
