Key Responsibilities
As part of the kitchen support team, your duties will include:
8. Washing dishes, pots, pans, and utensils
9. Cleaning kitchen equipment, work surfaces, floors, and walls
10. Emptying bins and disposing of waste correctly
11. Ensuring all areas meet food safety and hygiene standards
12. Assisting with basic food preparation when required
13. Keeping storage areas tidy and well organised
14. Supporting chefs and the wider team during busy services
15. Re-stocking clean equipment and supplies throughout shifts
What we’re looking for
This role would suit someone confident working in a busy Surrey kitchen environment, whether supporting as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar role:
16. Strong work ethic and a hands-on attitude
17. Previous experience in a kitchen porter or similar role
18. Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety standards
19. Reliable, punctual, and well organised
20. Ability to work well as part of a team
21. Willingness to follow instructions and support senior staff
22. Able to remain calm and efficient during busy periods
