Responsibilities
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding as required.
* Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities..
* Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client status to the supervising senior or manager.
* Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
Skills
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Empathy and patience, particularly when dealing with vulnerable individuals.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Basic understanding of health and safety practices in a care setting.
* Previous experience in a care role is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for community-based roles.
