We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, with experience in a kitchen environment. As a Fryer, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking various fried dishes, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality are maintained throughout the process.
As Fryer, you will take responsibility for producing consistently high-quality fish and chips to the highest standard, ensuring every portion meets our commitment to food excellence. This position demands strong leadership and management skills, clear communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You will be expected to maintain efficiency and organisation in the kitchen, while upholding a customer-first approach at all times. Prior experience in frying fish and chips is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
* Prepare ingredients and ensure all necessary items are ready for cooking.
* Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently to produce high-quality fried foods.
* Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety standards.
* Assist in meal preparation and collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
* Follow recipes accurately and contribute to menu development when required.
* Serve food promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is preferred.
* Strong food preparation and cooking skills, particularly in frying techniques.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Culinary experience is an advantage but not essential; training will be provided.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team setting.
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality in meal preparation.
