Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Garden Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for horticulture and a strong understanding of garden maintenance practices. This role involves working with various plants and landscapes, ensuring that our gardens remain vibrant and healthy. The Garden Associate will be responsible for performing a range of tasks related to growing, maintaining, and irrigating garden areas while utilising both hand tools and power tools effectively.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the planting, growing, and maintenance of various plants and flowers.
* Operate power tools and hand tools for landscape maintenance tasks.
* Perform regular irrigation duties to ensure optimal plant health.
* Conduct groundskeeping activities including weeding, mulching, and pruning.
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of garden areas and tool storage.
* Monitor plant health and report any issues such as pests or diseases.
* Collaborate with team members to plan and execute landscaping projects.
* Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about plants and gardening techniques.
Requirements
* Previous experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping is preferred.
* Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in garden maintenance.
* Knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and landscape design principles.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
* Physical stamina to perform manual labour in various weather conditions.
* A genuine passion for gardening and the outdoors.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
