HGV Technician required in Plymouth, Devon:
1. Basic salary up to £42k DOE
2. Early and Late shift patterns - Week 1: Mon-Fri 6AM till 2PM, Week 2: 2PM till 10PM. Late shift also includes 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (8:30AM till 12:30PM)
3. Well - Established Commercial Main Dealer
Our client, a Main Dealership in Plymouth area, is looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician.
Your key objectives as a HGV Technician will include:
4. To complete all service work and defined maintenance work of the utmost quality and efficiency within manufacturers time schedules.
5. Supply a professional performance in all aspects of work activities to make an essential contribution to the value and retention of customers.
6. Supporting colleagues in the workshop with any technical issues and innovations.
7. Ability to carry out comprehensive diagnosis and repairs of malfunctions.
8. To ensure that all company policies and procedures applicable to their area of responsibility are adhered to at all times.
9. Document the results of diagnosis/repairs/service/safety inspections.
The split shift hours for this role are Monday to Friday 6am till 2pm with half an hour unpaid lunch then the following week 2pm till 10pm with half an hour unpaid lunch. Salary range is depending on experience and skill set. Overtime is paid at 1.5 X for Saturdays. You will need to live in the Plymouth region or be within a reasonable commuting distance of Plymouth. You will need to be a fully qualified HGV Technician / Mechanic to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum and ideally hold some practical experience post qualification. You will need to be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Applicants with an active HGV driving license would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential.
