The Role
As a Cyber Engineering Analyst at MAG, youll play a vital part in our Information Security & Cyber team, supporting the day-to-day operations of our cyber security tools and platforms. Reporting to the Head of Cyber Security Engineering, your role will involve managing system access, troubleshooting issues, ensuring product lifecycle maintenance, and producing detailed analysis reports.
Youll collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to ensure optimal performance of cyber security applications and help safeguard the security of our systems. Youll also contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance system configurations, apply updates, and proactively respond to risks and vulnerabilities.
What will make you successful in the role?
Were looking for two experienced, detail-driven cyber professionals with a proactive mindset. Youll need:
1. Experience in information technology or cyber security.
2. A bachelors degree in information systems or equivalent work experience.
3. Professional certifications from recognised bodies such as ISC2, CompTIA, Microsoft, AWS, Axelos.
4. Strong knowledge of information security standards and frameworks (ISO, NIST, MITRE, ITIL, DevSecOps, SSDLC)
5. Familiarity with risk and vulnerability assessments, control implementation and audit remediation.
6. Experience with any of the following Privileged Identity and Access Management Solutions and Microsoft Security Tooling.
7. Solid knowledge of information security principles and practices, e.g. Zero-Trust, Least Privileged, Defence-in-Depth.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Experience in working collaboratively across technical teams and with third-party vendors to verify and mitigate risks.
10. Strong knowledge of implementing technical countermeasures such as vulnerability management, patching and hardening.
11. Providing technical support and training to end-users, addressing questions and concerns regarding usage and application security.
