NEWBURN LTD Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner Full-time 37.5 hours per week, Part Time Options Considered Salary Dependent on Experience An exciting opportunity has arisen, for a Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner, based within Newburn Ltd Practices. Successful candidates will work directly with GPs, Practice Managers and the wider clinical team to provide accessible primary care for people with mild to severe presentations of mental ill health. The post holder will be a registered Mental Health Nurse with the drive and enthusiasm to provide holistic mental health assessments and evidence based interventions within a primary care setting. The successful candidate will foster strong links with secondary care and community based services, referring and interfacing when necessary. Skilled in Mental Health Nursing with a passion for person centered care, the Primary Care Mental Health Practitioner will play a vital role in the provision of day to day primary care. This rewarding role requires resilient professionals with enthusiasm and the drive to innovate and develop. Non-medical prescribing would be advantageous for this role but should not deter candidates with the other requisite skills and as a practice we would be willing to fund and support the right candidate through this qualification. The successful candidates will work under the direction of the GPs and practice manager to provide specific high quality and comprehensive, often first point of contact, psychiatric nursing assessments and interventions to those with a mild to severe mental health problem, with the ability to refer on to appropriate services if required.
