Job Description
The interim Company Secretary will be based at the Charity's London HQ and will:
3. Provide comprehensive support to the C-Suite by ensuring governance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
4. Lead and manage all governance activities within the organisation.
5. Prepare and present reports to the board on strategic matters.
6. Manage the meeting cycle.
7. Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and relationships.
8. Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
9. Ensure the organisation operates in an ethical and socially responsible manner.
10. Coordinate with different departments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
11. Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment, and take appropriate action.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Interim Company Secretary should have:
12. Proven experience in governance / company secretarial roles in a charity or within the Not For Profit sector.
13. Excellent knowledge of charity governance.
14. Strong leadership experience
15. Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
16. Superior communication and interpersonal abilities.
17. Strong ethical standards and a commitment to organisational values.
18. A ICSA or CGI qualification (desired not essential).
19. Must be available to start at short notice.
