Candidate Profile:
The ideal English Teacher will be:
* A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent).
* Experienced in teaching English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4. (KS5 experience desirable, but not essential).
* Passionate about English and able to engage students of all abilities.
* A skilled classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management.
* Committed to raising attainment and fostering a love of reading and writing.
* A collaborative team player.
* Dedicated to ongoing professional development.
Role Responsibilities: The English Teacher will:
* Plan, prepare and deliver dynamic English lessons.
* Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs.
* Regularly assess student progress; provide constructive feedback.
* Maintain accurate student records.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
* Collaborate with colleagues within the English department.
