Our Client is one of the UKs leading Barristers Chambers specialising in Commercial and International Law with a reputation for excellence in their main areas of practice. Chambers now seeks to appoint a highly suitable individual to the role of Junior Fees Clerk. Working within the finance team, this role involves supporting the Senior Fees Clerk in managing the billing and fee collection processes. The Person The ideal candidate will have 1 - 2 years experience working in a finance department with credit control experience, either within Chambers, a Law Firm or similar environment. They will have excellent communication skills and ability to work with colleagues, Barristers and Clients.They will have excellent numerical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency. This is an outstanding opportunity for career progression and development within this forward-thinking and progressive set. Duties include: Processing incoming payments throughout the day. Identifying and Accurately allocating to the correct case. Ensuring correct TAX/VAT status (LEX) Producing and store remits for payments with daily transfer sheet/bank statements/receipts Producing various financial reports Assisting with chasing outstanding debtors with an organised approach adhering to Chambers fee chasing terms and conditions Providing general assistance with any other fee related tasks and projects as required.
