Our Parts Team plays a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction and workshop efficiency by supplying genuine JCB parts promptly and accurately.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To provide an efficient and professional parts service to retail, trade, and internal workshop customers. You will be responsible for identifying, sourcing, and supplying genuine JCB parts, while maintaining excellent levels of customer service and ensuring that all parts operations run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, locate, and supply JCB parts to customers in a timely and accurate manner. Liaise with workshop technicians and service advisors to ensure correct parts are supplied for scheduled maintenance and repairs. Serve customers at the parts counter, over the phone, and via email with a professional and knowledgeable approach.
Process parts orders, returns, and credits through the dealer management system (Kerridge – Keyloop) Monitor and maintain stock levels, including regular stock checks and reordering where necessary. Maintain accurate records of parts issued, received, and ordered. Support marketing and promotion of special offers and seasonal campaigns. Liaise with JCB central parts network to ensure prompt supply and up-to-date product knowledge. Manage backorders and keep customers informed of order progress and delivery times
Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety standards are maintained in the parts department. Assist with annual stock audits and inventory management. Contribute to team targets and KPIs for parts sales and customer satisfaction
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a similar Parts Advisor role, ideally within an agricultural, construction, or commercial vehicle dealership.
Previous experience working with JCB or other plant machinery is highly desirable
Strong working knowledge of parts systems and DMS (e.g. Kerridge, SAP, Syncron, etc.)
Excellent customer service and communication skills – both face-to-face and over the phone. High attention to detail with strong organisational and administrative skills. Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
Full UK driving licence (essential)
Core Hours:
Depot Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 5:30pm
Occasional Saturday mornings on a rota basis
