Supply Quality Officer – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Supply Quality Officer to join a global pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisation that has a strong presence in the UK and internationally. This company is a recognised leader in the development and manufacture of sterile injectable medicines, supplying both the NHS and global markets from its MHRA-approved facility in Wrexham.

The Role
As a Supply Quality Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring the company’s third-party suppliers consistently meet GMP compliance and deliver materials to the highest regulatory standards. This role offers a balance of technical review, supplier interaction, and cross-functional collaboration on-site, giving you broad exposure across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and interrogating supplier documentation to ensure compliance with cGMP and associated quality standards.
* Assessing technical data, deviation reports, change notifications and change controls from third-party suppliers.
* Supporting batch certification by approving master documentation for Qualified Person (QP) release.
* Conducting supplier qualification, audits, and routine evaluations to drive continuous improvement in supplier performance.
* Working closely with Supply Chain, Quality Control, Engineering, Warehousing, and Development Labs to enhance supplier quality and overall operational performance.
What We’re Looking For
* A degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, or a related discipline.
* Solid understanding of EU GMP guidelines and experience in internal and/or external auditing.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
* Skilled in root cause analysis, investigations, and problem-solving within a regulated environment.
* Team player with the ability to work independently and drive projects forward.
