We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join our School Finance Team within the Children & Families Finance department. As an Assistant Accountant, your key responsibilities will include: Providing expert financial advice to schools, ensuring they have the support they need. Maintaining school-specific budget planning software to facilitate effective financial management. Conducting on-site visits to schools, collaborating with Head Teachers, School Business Managers, and Governors. Delivering training sessions to school-based staff to enhance their financial understanding. Offering an audit service to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting To excel in this role, you will need: A full AAT qualification or equivalent. Experience working in a financial environment, preferably within the public sector. Proficiency in using Excel and other financial software to manage data effectively.
