About the Role: As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personalised support to a student with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs. Key Responsibilities: Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a student with additional needs. Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO. Help maintain a calm, positive, and inclusive classroom environment. Support the student in developing key skills, managing behaviour, and engaging positively in learning. Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals to ensure consistent and effective support. Requirements: Experience supporting children with SEN, learning difficulties, or behavioural needs (school-based experience preferred). A patient, calm, and encouraging approach. Strong communication, teamwork, and rapport-building skills. Willingness to follow guidance and work collaboratively with teaching staff. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Have a DBS registered to the update service, or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
