Band 7 Occupational Therapist – Specialist SEN School Location: Liverpool Salary: £47,810 – £54,710 per year (dependent on experience & qualifications) Contract: Permanent – Full Time We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEN school team in Liverpool. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them achieve independence and thrive in their education. Key Responsibilities Conduct holistic assessments of pupils’ sensory, motor, and functional needs. Plan and deliver evidence-based OT interventions (1:1, small-group, and classroom-embedded). Contribute to EHCP reviews and support the achievement of pupils’ individual outcomes. Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to embed OT strategies across the curriculum. Provide training, coaching, and guidance for staff and families on sensory regulation, functional skills, and independence. Lead on developing whole-school approaches to sensory-friendly environments and inclusive practice. Requirements Dip COT, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy with HCPC and BAOT registration. Previous experience in a special school setting or CAMHS service. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, staff, and parents.
