Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee food preparation, manage kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, developing innovative menus, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests.

Duties

* Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
* Oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and presentation expectations.
* Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with health and safety regulations.
* Develop and implement creative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
* Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper handling of ingredients at all times.
* Train and mentor junior staff to enhance their skills in food preparation, cooking techniques, and customer service.
* Collaborate with restaurant management to plan special events or themed menus.
* Maintain a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.

Skills

* Proven supervising experience within a busy kitchen environment.
* Extensive background in food production, cooking, and culinary arts.
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively.
* Excellent food preparation skills with attention to detail in presentation.
* In-depth knowledge of kitchen equipment, food safety protocols, and hygiene standards.
* Previous restaurant experience demonstrating versatility across various cuisines.
* Leadership qualities with the ability to organise tasks efficiently under pressure.
* Good understanding of hospitality operations including serving procedures and customer interaction.
