Salary: £13.46ph plus incentives
Hours: Full-time - 9.30am-5pm 5 days a week (to also include 1 weekend a month)

Note: Team Members under 21 will be paid at £1.00 per hour less, which is above National Minimum Wage guidelines for this age group

Day to Day Responsibilities for Activity Co-ordinator
* Contribute to residents' well-being through thoughtful, personalised activities with a weekly plan ready each Monday; share ideas with the Jasmine community of Activity Coordinators
* Provide support for residents facing confusion or behavioural challenges with person-centred distraction techniques and activity baskets; offer one-to-one comfort and companionship and document interactions
* Keep the activity calendar uploaded to Facebook and display it around the home; post interesting activities on the Home's Facebook page
* Keep up to date with developments in activities and care by attending activities meetings; ensure the monthly Newsletter is completed and displayed in the home and posted online
* Encourage involvement from team members, relatives and friends in activities; communicate via emails and act as an Ambassador for the home, including fundraising; Jasmine matches fundraising £ to £
Essential Requirements for Activity Co-ordinator
* At least one year of relevant experience providing activities in a care home or similar environment (e.g. teaching assistant, nursery nurse, LD/supported living care assistant) OR 3 years as a care assistant in an elderly residential or nursing home
* NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or Activities; or agreement to work towards one
* Ability to work 35 hours minimum per week including 2 weekend days every four weeks
* Live within 20 minutes of the Home
Preferred Requirements for Activity Co-ordinator
* Two years of relevant experience providing activities in a residential or nursing home
* Two years of relevant experience of providing care in elderly residential or nursing home
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
