ABOUT THE ROLE Merz Therapeutics are in an exciting time of growth Are you ready to shape the future of healthcare? We are seeking a Market Access Manager on a 12 month FTC. The Market Access Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring successful product entry and adoption in the market. Your responsibilities will include implementing the national strategy at a local level, stakeholder engagement, securing advocacy and product funding. This role will focus on English Market Access and involves working closely with advocates and payers in both secondary care and ICBs to help secure funding through formulary inclusion for a specialised medication. This is 12-Month contract field-based role, this includes extensive national travel 4/5 days per week. RESPONSIBILITIES Market Access Strategy Development: Execute strategic plans to optimise product access, pricing, and reimbursement Continuously assess market access effectiveness and refining strategies for improvement. Commercial Navigation: Support the business in breaking down barriers for access to formularies Partner with ICBs to drive optimal listing on English ICB formularies Ensure adherence to local and national commercial factors affecting product access Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with payers and advocates to support funding discussions Support the development of pricing models and negotiating agreements with payers Collaborate with healthcare providers, payers, policymakers, and industry leaders to secure favourable market conditions Data Analysis & Reporting: Present reports of ICB account progress to commercial teams within Merz Therapeutics Ensure all data is correctly recorded in the CRM Conduct in-depth research to understand market trends, customer needs, and competitor positioning Collaboration: Collaborate cross-functionally with the Merz Medical, Marketing and Sales teams to maximise, productivity access and alignment with the business strategy Ensure close communication between the MA and Sales Compliance: ABPI code of practice understood and adhered to, resulting in commercially competitive and sustainable market engagement This is 12-Month contract field based role and includes extensive national travel YOUR EXPERIENCE B.A. or B.S. required, degree in life sciences preferred 3 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical environment, experience in a Market Access function and success in gaining formulary inclusions Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a high performing cross-functional team.
