We are seeking an Office Administrator with receptionist duties to join our team at Sythwood Primary School, part of Bourne Education Trust.
As an Office Administrator, you will provide accurate, efficient, and effective administrative and clerical support within the school, while delivering excellent and proactive front-line customer service to families, staff, and visitors.
About Sythwood Primary School
Sythwood is a larger primary school, of around 550 children. It provides education from two-year-olds to the end of year 6. Sythwood celebrates children and staff from a range of ethnicities and cultures. Around 60% of children learn English as an Additional Language.
Sythwood is a truly inclusive school. The number of children with additional needs is higher than average. The significant areas of needs are: Moderate Learning Difficulty, Speech, Language and Communication and Vision Impairment. The school has a Specialist Centre for children with Vision Impairment. Position: Office Administrator - with reception duties
Contract: Permanent, part time (term time plus one week)
Hours: 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (Monday – Friday, 12:15 - 4:15pm)

Salary: Support Pay Scale 3 (£24,330 FTE, actual salary £11,271)

Key responsibilities include:
* Provide effective administrative support to the School Business Manager and office team
* Undertake general admin duties as required for the efficient function of the office team
* Keep up-to-date records of changing school information and maintain key information for reference and distribution, as necessary
Requirements include:
Essential
* An awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
* Experience working in an office environment
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Desirable
* Previous reception / administrative experience within a school environment
* Experience of school software packages such as Arbor
