Night Hygiene Operative

Here at ABP Langport, located in Southwest Somerset (TA10 9HG), we are currently recruiting for the ideal candidate to join our Night Hygiene Team as a Night Hygiene Operative.

Role definition:
To ensure that all plant and equipment is cleaned in accordance with company operating practices and schedules in order to maintain and food safe environment for the production of company products.
To support the maintenance of effective hygiene controls throughout the site.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Carry out cleaning of all plant and machinery schedules in accordance with operating instructions
Carry out cleaning using correct COSHH procedures
Carry out cleaning tasks using appropriate number of resources to minimise wastage
Report any machinery or plant issues to supervisor to facilitate timely repairs
Knowledge and Experience:
The ideal candidate will be reliable and trustworthy to carry out tasks with the minimum of supervision. The individual will have an attention to detail and flexible to carry out tasks to support team colleagues to ensure the plant is maintained in a food-safe clean manner. Cleaning work is varied and requires a good focus level maintained throughout the shift. On the job training will be provided and the individual must be able to demonstrate a level of literacy and numeracy on order that they are able to understand the training, operating instructions and COSHH instructions.
Level 2 Food Safety training is required
Cleaning operations require a substantial amount of physical ability.
