Bar Manager; Shustoke Barn
We have an exciting opportunity for a Bar Manager position at Shustoke Barn with a proposed start date of mid-late February 2026.
Shustoke Barn is a beautiful 18th century, red-brick barn set around a private courtyard, offering couples an exclusive venue for their wedding day. Shustoke Barn is run by Cripps & Co Group - an established company with many years' experience in running wedding venues throughout the UK.
We are now looking for an experienced Bar Manager to take ownership for the day to day bar operations to ensure we deliver excellent customer service at all times.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of the bar operations as well as ensuring strict cleaning regimes of the bar and back of house areas are adhered to.
* Ensure on-going success of the barn as a venue of choice.
* Demonstrate excellent levels of customer service at every stage of the process from start to finish to deliver an exceptional experience ensuring events in line with their specification and to meet and exceed standards for customer service, staff professionalism and troubleshooting, remaining commercially viable at all times.
* Be involved in hosting viewings and monitoring sales and performance of the Barn against targets set and drive conversion rates. Be financially aware of decisions made and how this affects the accounts.
* Manage and motivate the bar teams, ensuring effective teamwork and communication.
* Foster a positive working environment that encourages team collaboration and development.
* Be responsible for stock ordering and rotation.
* Be proactive in providing training sessions for the team to enhance their drinks and service knowledge including cocktail service.
* Be responsible for the close down of the site at the end of the evening and ensuring security protocol is adhered to.
* To be able to run wedding days in the long term where required
Requirements
* Proven experience in a managerial role within the hospitality sector is essential.
* Strong knowledge of food and beverage practices as well as cellar management.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
* Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of operations.
* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees and customers alike.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including regular evening and weekend working.
* Experience working with cocktails is preferable.
* DPS qualification would be advantageous.

Pay: £32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
