FINANCE MANAGER – RETAIL
WOKING – 3 DAYS OFFICE / 2 HOME – PERMANENT – A hands-on role with a strong team culture
£67,000 – £70,000 + 10% bonus

We Do Group are hiring for a Finance Manager to lead a management accounting team of four within a well-established retail business. This is a broad, hands-on role focused on month-end delivery, balance sheet quality, revenue share processes and improving how the team works.
You’ll be joining a business with a sensible approach to working hours, a supportive finance structure, and a team that needs someone confident enough to lead, review, challenge and improve.
WISH LIST
* Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CA or CIMA
* Strong management accounting experience
* Previous experience managing, coaching or developing a finance team
* Someone switched on, practical and comfortable improving processes
THE ROLE
* Manage the period-end timetable and ensure deadlines are met
* Lead a team of four across senior and junior management accounting roles
* Review and approve journals across revenue, rent, costs, accruals, prepayments and provisions
* Own balance sheet reviews and ensure reconciling items are understood and actioned
* Maintain risks and opportunities reporting ahead of month-end
* Work closely with FP&A on month-end results, movements and final adjustments
* Manage revenue share processes, audits and submissions
* Challenge the team on ageing balances, unusual items and process gaps
* Support internal and external audit activity
* Improve month-end processes, controls and reporting quality
* Document processes and ensure procedures are kept up to date
* Provide steady leadership through a period of team change
YOUR PROFILE
* Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CA or CIMA
* Effective communicator – written & verbal
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel
* Strong management accounting and balance sheet experience
* Comfortable leading a team with mixed levels of experience
