Field Service Engineer Field Based Full Time / Permanent As the largest harvesting operation in the UK, Tilhill Harvesting are the go-to experts in whole tree and cut to length harvesting. In support of our continued and exciting growth, we are recruiting a Field Service Engineer to work as part of a dedicated forestry harvesting team to carry out routine service work maintenance and repair on a range of mechanical harvesting equipment. Tilhill Harvesting is located in Beattock, Dumfries and Galloway, although the role as a Field Service Engineer involves travel to various forestry locations throughout UK. Specifically, some responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer include: Provision of off-site support for the repair of machinery. Ensure company’s field equipment is serviced as required. Use diagnostic software to diagnose and repair faults in the field. Keep accurate service and repair logs. About you: You will have a background in the commercial forestry. Agricultural, construction or Fabrication would be considered. FMOCS Qualification. Optional Good knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical troubleshooting and repair. Experience in welding and fabrication. Optional Computer literacy preferred. Ability to adhere to rigorous Health & Safety standards, ensuring you are working safely, in a clean and hazard free environment and the correct and proper use of PPE. Ability to adapt and work towards tight deadlines in a fast-paced, environment. Self-motivated attitude, as well as a collaborative approach. Excellent communication and people skills. Full Driving Licence.
