We are working on behalf of a respected law firm seeking to recruit a self-motivated and experienced Conveyancer to join their Home Sales team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy, forward-thinking department where high-quality service and client care are at the heart of what they do.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own caseload of residential conveyancing matters, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality work to tight timescales. In addition to handling client matters from inception to completion, you will also be responsible for managing a small team, including supervising and supporting junior colleagues.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Managing your own caseload of residential property transactions
* Supervising and training junior members of your unit
* Following case progression protocols and procedures
* Handling client calls and correspondence
* Preparing and collating legal documentation
* Drafting reports and managing billing processes
* Providing after-sales support to developer clients
* Ensuring compliance with firm policies and information security requirements
This is a fast-paced role requiring excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities while remaining calm under pressure.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Previous experience working in a legal environment – experience in a busy conveyancing team is essential
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* The ability to prioritise effectively and work independently with minimal supervision
* A proactive, can-do attitude and a high level of attention to detail
* Confidence in liaising with clients, including housebuilders and social housing providers
* A good standard of education, with at least 6 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade C or above, including English and Maths
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong spelling and grammar
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and confidence using case management systems
