The Health and Social Care department offers the BTEC Tech Award at KS4 and the AAQ Level 3 BTEC and Extended Certificate at KS5. Students are highly motivated and enrichment is enhanced through visiting guest speakers. The department has a strong record of success: in August 2025, 25% of KS5 students achieved a Distinction* and 100% achieved a Merit or above. At KS5, the department achieved an ALPS Red 3, performing within the top 25% nationally.
The successful candidate will join a strong team of subject leaders and deliver a diverse and engaging curriculum. The days of work is currently Mondays - Thursdays. There is no line management responsibility for this role and the ability to teach Health & Social Care up to KS5 is essential.
