We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and resilient Senior Finance Officer to join the central finance team based at Baylis Court School in Slough. The successful candidate will report to the Trust’s Director of Finance and support the Finance Controller.
The post holder should have achieved full or part qualified status in one of the professionally recognised accountancy qualifications.
This position involves providing budget monitoring and day-to-day accounting information across the Trust to the Finance Controller, budget holders, the Finance team, and the Director of Finance. You will offer operational support to the Finance Controller and guide the transactional functions of the Finance team.
The successful candidate will have:
1. A proven track record of excellent financial management and administrative services.
2. Experience with accounting software and Management Information Systems.
3. Familiarity with Academy School Financial management and governance requirements.
4. The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
5. Experience in financial budget management, monitoring, reporting, and account reconciliation.
6. The ability to meet all statutory and reporting obligations.
7. Excellent communication skills, including written communication.
8. The ability to use initiative and take guidance from the Trust's Senior Finance Leadership Team when necessary.
