Overview

Unique opportunity to assist with the maintenance and daily care of Equestrian Center Horses with Auburn University Athletics!

Temporary Employment Services ( TES ), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:

* Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of time
* Additional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloads
* Assistance with special projects
* Seasonal work

Essential Functions

* Provide high quality daily care of the horses at the Equestrian Center
* Clean stalls, feed, water, turnouts and blanketing of horses
* Administer medications and perform medical treatments
* Assist with veterinary and farrier when needed

Minimum Qualifications

* Ability to read and write
* Teamwork skills and able to work independently
* Initiative and self-motivation, able to work autonomously while updating supervisor regularly
* Able to handle multiple tasks
* Flexibility
* Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
* Ability to work 10-20 hours a week


Desired Qualifications

* Experience with horses preferred


Salary Range

Salary Range $8.00-$12.00/hour


Work Hours

Work Hours 7:45a.m - 4:45p.m, Monday-Friday, nights and weekends as needed
