Position Summary

At Samsung Electronics Europe, you'll be part of a high-performing team at the forefront of transforming the direct-to-consumer (D2C) landscape. As a member of the European D2C team, you’ll collaborate with diverse and talented professionals, driving impactful projects that shape Samsung's digital future. With a focus on growth, customer satisfaction, and excellence, this role offers the unique opportunity to influence key business decisions and play a pivotal role in delivering our vision.

As the Head of D2C GTM, you will oversee and strategically guide the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies for both the Mobile Experience (MX) and Consumer Electronics (CE) portfolios.

This leadership role is pivotal in ensuring seamless product launches, driving sales performance through innovative propositions & marketing strategies, and fostering cross-functional collaboration across European D2C teams, RPM teams and European subsidiaries.


Key Responsibilities

* Strategic Leadership and Vision: Set the long term strategic direction for the European D2C GTM function, ensuring full alignment with Samsung’s global agenda while shaping a regionally differentiated strategy that drives competitive advantage for the D2C channel.
* Product Launch Leadership: Lead the end-to-end D2C product launch strategy across MX and CE categories, ensuring every launch is market ready, locally relevant and fully aligned with D2C's strategic goals and HQ's direction.
* Cross Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Alignment: Provide strategic leadership between HQ, European subsidiaries and regional functions, ensuring seamless alignment on the European D2C GTM vision, strategic priorities and execution plans.
* Innovation & Challenge: Champion innovation by identifying new solutions and challenging conventional approaches, embedding "never been done before" ideas into business strategies to drive growth and set new benchmarks for D2C execution.
* Performance Evaluation and Insights: Provide oversight of post launch performance and GTM effectiveness, leading the evaluation of KPIs and critical initiatives across all markets.
* Sales Management and Insights: Provide strategic oversight of D2C sales performance, ensuring clear targets, rigorous tracking and high-quality insights that guide decision-making on D2C profitability and overall D2C product mix.
* Regional Relevance: Represent the EO D2C perspective at global forums, ensuring global strategies are adapted to local market realities and champion local consumer needs.
* Control Tower Leadership: Set clear processes and alignment with HQ and regional divisional sales teams to guide direction and remove barriers to D2C executions.
* Product Lifecycle Management: Lead the full product lifecycle planning for D2C Europe, using data-driven insights to anticipate issues, unlock growth opportunities and shape strategic decisions with the European product teams.
* People Management: Lead and develop the D2C GTM team, ensuring your direct reports have the support and opportunities for professional growth.


Qualifications and Skills

* Consistent record of leading cross-functional teams in large, complex organizations.
* Ability to develop and implement strategic plans that balance commercial, operational, and customer experience needs.
* Experience in business innovation, project management, campaign management in large, complex organizations.
* Strong attention to detail, highly organized, with a track record of delivering complex, cross-market projects.
* Strong commercial savvy with creative judgment to shape integrated marketing strategies.
* Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Proven track record to influence diverse partners across functions and regions.
* Skilled communicator able to distil complex ideas into clear, actionable plans.


Success Criteria

* Effectively manage and develop the D2C GTM team, ensuring that the D2C GTM function is well-equipped to deliver exceptional results.
* Successfully defines and implements new methods and procedures for MX and CE product launches and projects.
* Demonstrates independent decision making and judgement when managing cross-functional initiatives.
* Provides strategic solutions that take a broad perspective, balancing multiple complex variables.
* Acts as functional lead on high-impact projects, achieving alignment across HQ and subsidiaries.
* Delivers innovative initiatives that set new benchmarks for Samsung’s D2C execution and revenue growth.
* Ensures regional relevance by shaping locally relevant solutions to global strategies, embedding local consumer needs into launch excellence.
