People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our client's well-established transport team based in Motherwell .

Shifts: 4 on / 4 off – Night shift
Pay Rate: £16.83 – £19.30 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
* Safely operate and drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles
* Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and documentation
* Load, transport, and deliver goods between designated locations
* Handle double-decker trailers where required
* Ensure all loads are secure and compliant with transport safety regulations
* Communicate effectively with transport teams and customers
* Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and road safety procedures
Essential Skills
* Valid UK Category C+E Licence
* Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
* No more than six penalty points (minor offences only – no IN, DR, DD, or CD codes)
* Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
* Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
* Good knowledge of UK road networks and compliance standards
Desirable Experience
* Previous experience in retail or distribution deliveries
Training Provided
* Full onboarding support and driver induction
* Paid two-day site induction prior to starting
* Ongoing driver support and development throughout your assignment
