We are a growing boutique law firm with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, client-focused legal services. Due to expansion, we are looking for a proactive and ambitious Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join our team.

The Role
This is a varied role combining legal support, client management, and office administration. You will work closely with the fee earners and support matters from instruction through to completion.
You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office while also supporting ongoing matters.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Support
* Assist solicitors and fee earners with matters from instruction to completion
* Draft correspondence and first drafts of documents
* Prepare court bundles and supporting documentation
* Conduct legal research where required
* Support file management and ensure compliance with SRA requirements
Client & Communication Management
* Act as first point of contact for client enquiries
* Take initial instructions and maintain regular client communication
* Liaise with third parties including counsel, courts, agents, and other solicitors
* Manage professional and timely responses to emails and calls
Diary & Case Management
* Manage solicitor diaries and schedule appointments
* Monitor deadlines and key dates
* Maintain accurate case management records
* Assist with matter opening, onboarding, and compliance (ID/AML Checks)
Office Administration
* General administrative support (filing, scanning, correspondence)
* Billing assistance and file closing procedures
* Support the smooth running of the office
About You
* Previous experience in a law firm (essential)
* Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Confident dealing directly with clients
* High attention to detail
* Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
* Strong IT skills ( Microsoft Office and LEAP Case Management Software experience preferred)
