Location: Sandown, Isle of Wight (on-site) — must already live on the Isle of Wight
Principal responsibilities: We are looking for a Deputy Supported living manager to support our team. The manager would be based in our Broadstone Crescent – Brading, Isle of Wight placement and would manage our team and clients.
The role involves meeting the requirements of CQC standards and local contracts. The individual would be required to recruit and select carers, undertake client assessments, reviews and care plans, schedule rotas, and undertake spot checks/supervisions as well as audits.
Responsibilities will include:
* Lead day-to-day operations across the placement; maintain safe staffing and effective rotas.
* Line-manage support workers: inductions, supervisions, appraisals, competencies and spot checks.
* Complete/oversee assessments, person-centred support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
* Ensure CQC compliance: audits, incident reporting, meds oversight (MAR), documentation.
* Champion safeguarding, MCA/DoLS, and positive behaviour support approaches.
* Liaise with families, social workers and health professionals; attend reviews and MDTs.
* Promote outcomes, independence, dignity and community inclusion for the people we support.
* Ensuring that the placement runs an effective and efficient on-call service
About you
* NVQ/QCF Level 3 (essential); Level 5 (desirable) in Leadership for Health and Social Care or willing to work towards it.
* Experience supervising in supported living / learning disabilities / mental health (or similar).
* Confident with rotas, documentation, audits and quality improvement.
* Driver with access to a car; flexible to cover occasional evenings/weekends if required.
* Excellent communicator; calm, organised, and values-led.
Salary negotiable depending on experience.
