We re looking for a Property Development Manager to support the delivery of property development and transformation projects across YBS. In this pivotal role, you ll take full ownership of end-to-end development and refurbishment initiatives, ensuring they align with our strategic goals. You ll manage a diverse range of technical delivery areas and collaborate with third-party partners to bring projects to life. Whether it s a single refurbishment or a complex programme of work, your expertise will drive impactful change across YBS. About the role Fully manage a range of projects including internal/ external stakeholders, not limited to Facilities Management and Estates colleagues, business resources and third parties such as architects, designers, contractors, professional consultants and Local Authorities. Identify and engage with the appropriate stakeholders to facilitate the agreement and documentation of business requirements to the appropriate level of detail. Provide the necessary planning and communication to mitigate challenges, issues, risks and dependencies. Manage multiple projects at a time, prioritising work load to ensure project timelines are met, serving as the primary point of contact for all internal and extended project team members. Responsible for the overall quality and budget of any assigned project/ programme of works, maximising best value. Take full due diligence on, Health and Safety, estimating, pre-construction tenders, statutory consents/ approvals, contract negotiations, contract award, construction management and handover. About you Knowledge and understanding of construction industry best practises. Knowledge, understanding and experience of structured project management techniques (PRINCE2 APM, Agile). Ability to convert strategic priorities and goals into operational plans Thorough working knowledge of legislation including Building Regulations, MEES, CDM Regulations, Control of Asbestos at Work, Planning legislation, Equality Act. Strong knowledge of AutoCAD/ drafting and be able to draw construction details. Ability to work with autonomy and make operational decisions.
