Job summary
To provide a professional catering service, managing the production of food within the food services department.
To ensure that set standards, procedures and processes to produce high quality food are adhered too and comply with all internal and external food production regulations and legislation.
To supervise and support team members including undertaking Supervisions and Appraisals aswell support with other Statutory/ Mandatory Training
Liaising with members of the food services department management team to provide a comprehensive customer journey for service users.
Main duties of the job
To prepare cook and present Fresh food inpatient feeding offers in line with expected departmental standards. Cooking skills are a key part of the role
To ensure that quality measures and hygiene systems are all achieved at all times.
To ensure that all food is presented and served in line with trust standards using innovation in the method, presentation and food service.
To participate in the HACCP procedure in accordance with the trusts food safety policy, to create and maintain correct use of records including, but not limited to, cleaning rota, and closing down procedures.
To ensure that quality control measures and hygiene systems are achieved at all times.
To work alongside the kitchen management team in the day to day running of the kitchen and FOH service.
To work with site manager in monitoring stock control, ensuring that stock rotation and use by dates for the production of food are followed and food produced does not contribute to wastage.
Liaise with the lead clinical teams on site to match service expectations
Work with the Audit team to achieve required standards throughout the kitchen and FOH areas
Work with the development team on menus and receiving information from client feedback forums
