CTS and our range of independent UKAS accredited laboratories provide on-site testing and laboratory services to the construction, quarry products and civil engineering industries across the whole of the UK.
Our purpose-built laboratories are fully equipped to test the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of soils, aggregates, concrete and bituminous materials as well as other construction materials and products.
Our highly-trained technicians and engineers either visit sites and take representative samples for subsequent laboratory testing, or conduct in-situ field tests.
ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Customer Account Handler you will be responsible for all aspects of customer interface for a designated geographic area and associated engineer surveyors. You will act as a central point of contact between customers, engineer surveyors and our internal computer system to ensure all aspects of the service provided to our customers is delivered efficiently, accurately and professionally. You will work individually to cover your area and as part of a wider team to support others as necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Interface with company computer systems
* Answer queries from customers within your geographic area of responsibility.
* Provide small value quotations using company computer system.
* Manage the renewal of contracts for your customer base.
* Support Engineer Surveyors with raising jobs on the computer system.
* Review and complete all jobs for your customer base ready for invoicing on the company computer system.
* Email completed reports to customers following inspections.
* Set-up customer access to company portal to allow them to access their reports.
* Raise new client information on company computer system, with support from Accounts and IT.
* Assist engineer surveyors with use of company computer system
* Manage incoming emails and telephones calls for your customer base.
* Support other Customer Account Handlers to cover holiday and absence as necessary.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
* GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
* Higher level education (e.g. degree) desirable
TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Word / Excel.
* Experience of working in a customer service environment.
* Ability to learn how to use the company computer system.
* Professional approach to customer service.
* Good written and verbal communication skills
