The Housing Maintenance team is offering a permanent Electrician position based at the Carnaby Depot.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the general maintenance of electrical maintenance to council properties. We are specifically looking for someone who has trade experience in the building industry.
The role will involve undertaking the inspection testing and maintenance of fixed electrical installations and equipment in accordance with provided specifications and/or current wiring regulations/British Standards. To be able to assess and undertake remedial works and installation of general electrical systems. Locate Circuit faults and rectify a range of electrical issues within domestic dwellings. Repair/renew light pendants, sockets, light switches, smoke alarms, pull switches, repair door entry systems, communal lighting, repair/renew storage heaters, showers, electric fires. Carrying out electrical testing and upgrade works to both void and tenanted properties. The option to be part of the weekly call out rota.
We are looking for staff that are self-motivated and can work either on their own, or within a team and have the ability to provide a good level of workmanship.

A works vehicle will be provided with a van stock, and we also supply you with work wear and personal protective equipment with specialist tooling and equipment provided to help carry out your work.
There will be various relevant training opportunities, to help you within the role.
