Hilgay Care Home is friendly care home in Burgess Hill that has the privilege of caring for elderly residents from the local community. We deliver profession care and support with kindness and compassion. We are looking to encourage new members of staff to join our team to continue to deliver high standards of care for the residents at Hilgay.
The job is working as and when needed, when other carers are on holiday or off sick and weekends. You would just give us your availability to cover shifts a month in advance. The shifts are 8.00am - 2.00pm or 2.00pm - 8.00pm or 8.00am-8.00pm to look after the elderly clients. However, you could work more shifts during the week if you wanted to. We also need bank carers for the night shift.
We are looking for kind, compassionate, honest and reliable people to become part of our home. You do not need experience as we offer full training and shadowing to all new starters and have an approachable and supportive management team.
Duties would include:
* Helping clients to get up in the morning,
* Assisting with person centred care
* Assisting residents at meal times
* Answering call bells
* Some light domestic duties
* Supporting senior staff to write and update care plans
* Helping residents engage with activities
* Assisting clients going to bed
