We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual to join our Site Maintenance team as a Site Assistant. As a Site Assistant, you will be involved in the maintenance and security of the school premises, ensuring a safe environment for staff, students and visitors. This is a full‑time, all year‑round position. Working hours will be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
* Undertake general repairs and maintenance around the establishment.
* Ensure resources such as cleaning supplies and equipment are stored and maintained appropriately.
* Maintain security of the site, including opening and closing the premises.
* Operate and regularly check heating, cooling, lighting and security systems.
* Undertake general porterage duties, such as moving furniture and equipment within the school.
* Travel between our Kent schools as required, with travel expenses claimable.
Qualifications
* Proficient technical and practical skills relevant to the job.
* Experience working in a school or maintenance/building industry.
* Ability to carry out tasks such as basic plumbing, carpentry, electrics, decorating and deep cleaning.
* Willingness to undertake appropriate training and professional development.
* Competency in communication, teamwork and customer service.
* Understanding of health and safety.
