We are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in Bolton that is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled practitioner to take on additional responsibilities, including delivering lessons and supporting pupil progress across the school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and senior staff, providing high-quality learning support, leading small groups, and occasionally covering classes when required. Key Responsibilities Support teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons. Lead small group interventions and provide 1:1 support where needed. Plan and deliver lessons under the direction of teaching staff. Cover whole classes in the absence of the teacher when required. Support children with additional needs to ensure full inclusion. Promote positive behaviour and contribute to pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. Assist with preparing, adapting, and developing learning resources. Requirements HLTA status or equivalent qualification. Previous experience working as a HLTA or experienced Teaching Assistant in a school setting. Ability to deliver lessons and lead learning activities confidently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, patient, and supportive approach. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
