Key Responsibilities
* Lead the day‑to‑day operational management of surgical specialities
* Deliver against performance, quality, and financial targets
* Line manage administrative teams, ensuring strong HR practice
* Support service planning, business cases, and improvement projects
* Oversee rota management and ensure consistent medical staffing cover
* Build strong internal and external relationships, including ICBs and partner trusts
* Drive improvements in outpatient and inpatient efficiency
* Validate performance data and ensure compliance with national standards
* Contribute to clinical governance, service reviews, and incident investigations
* Produce reports and presentations for clinical and management teams
* Maintain robust communication channels across multi‑disciplinary teams
About You
* Experienced in operational management within a healthcare environment
* Confident in leading teams and driving service improvement
* Strong analytical ability, including advanced Excel skills
* Skilled communicator with excellent presentation capability
* Able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced setting
* Degree‑educated or equivalent, with ongoing personal development
* Ability to travel to satellite sites
* Comfortable working under pressure with frequent operational demands
