Main purpose of the role & responsibilities in the business:
At Kainos, we provide innovative and creative products designed to help Workday customers reduce risk and maximize their Workday investment. Our solutions include Workday testing, compliance, data masking, and document management. As a business with a proven record of year-on-year growth and over 500 customers we have multiple exciting opportunities for Product Owners across each of our growth products.
As a Product Owner at Kainos, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our innovative market leading Workday solutions.You'll own the product backlog across one or more functional areas, ensuring we stay at the forefront of the industry. This means you'll gather and prioritize product and customer requirements, and work closely with our top-notch development, sales, pre-sales, marketing, and professional services teams to surpass customer satisfaction goals and maintain our leading market position.

You will contribute to future successes of Workday Smart Shield Product - our novel SaaS security product. It acts as a secure layer between your most sensitive data and the teams who support and maintain Workday in your organisation.
Youwillberesponsiblefor:
1. Understanding customer needs, personas and why they engage with your product.
2. Becoming an expert in the problems we solve forand“why” they matter.
3. Running structured workshops with customers and internal stakeholders.
4. Defining and Building solutions to address customer needs.
5. Defining the benefits your solutions deliver and how to measure success.
6. Knowing your competition and how to stay ahead of them.
7. Launching products and features including organizing and enabling internal teams such as delivery, pre-sales, onboarding to maximize impact etc.
8. Managing Roadmap Delivery and managing the product backlog;
9. Creating actionable user stories for development teams.
10. Managingandprioritisingthebacklogtoensuregoalsaremet.
11. Identifyingandmeasuringthesuccesscriteriaforeachdelivered feature.
12. Defining and communicating releaseacceptancecriteriafor each product feature, including the criteria for MVP.
13. Measuring,trackingandimprovingnon-functionalaspectsofthe product.
14. Contribute to marketing campaigns and external positing when needed.
15. Asrequired,steppingintosupportsaleseffortswithproductdemosandcustomer discussions on more technical aspects of the product.
Minimum(essential)requirements:
16. A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working as a Product Owner in a SaaS environmentonmanagingbacklog,workingwithdevelopmentteamsandbuilding Product Roadmaps.
17. Demonstrableexperienceandcapabilitytosuccessfullycarryoutthekeyelements of the Product Owner role.
18. Excellentcommunicationskillsarevital.You’llneedtobeapersuasiveand effective communicator with strong negotiating skills. It’s not only about talking, you’ll need to be able to listen, understand, and build on other’s viewpoints.
19. You willhaveanenthusiasmfornewtechnologiesandinnovationandbepreparedto take advantage of the flexibility provided to challenge and be proactive in bringing new ideas to how we work and to the product roadmap.
20. Youwillneedaneyefordetail,particularlytointerpretsuppliedinformationand understand sources and challenge where necessary.
21. The ability to facilitate team meetings and group conversations.
22. Comfortandabilitytoengagewithcustomerstounderstandrequirements,and support functional or technical product discussions.
23. Relevantcommercialexperienceandawarenesstohelpsetpriorities ofproduct investments and drive commercial product success.
24. Agoodunderstandingoftechnology,digitalservicesandtrends.
25. Theabilitytocommunicateeffectivelywiththeteamandexternalstakeholders.
Desirable:
26. Experience with Data Privacy or Compliance Products.
27. Prior experience integrating AI into commercial products to solve real business problems.
28. Prior Workday implementation experience
